IQ Battle: Tillerson Vs. Trump

In the ever moving world of Washington, D.C., palace intrigue, word leaked out from some corner of the swamp that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called President Donald Trump “a moron.” Aside from that seeming to be completely out of character for the dignified gentleman from Texas, the man himself refused to dignify being questioned about it, which, according to the mainstream media, was not a denial.

Never anxious to let go of a story line that embarasses the president, this one especially, the swamp creatures just won’t let it go, to which President Trump said something that is probably just one of those things he says when he just has had enough.

“I think it’s fake news,” Mr TrumpĀ told Forbes, “but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.”

That should be an interesting lunch Trump and Tillerson are having today.

At any rate, one BBC reporter has observed that President Trump gets a little touchy when people question his intellectual bona fides. Well, yes. One does not build a real estate and golf club empire by being a moron. However, if the New York Times gossip mongers are correct, that Rex Tillerson does not have a professional demeanor and poker face in meetings and negotiation (doubtful after running the world’s largest corporation), then the palace intrigue has teeth.

Last week the New York Times reported that Mr Tillerson was astonished at how little Mr Trump grasps the basics of foreign policy.

According to the newspaper, quoting sources close to the secretary of state, Mr Trump has been irritated by Mr Tillerson’s body language during meetings.

Mr Tillerson is said to roll his eyes or slouch when he disagrees with the decisions of his boss.

Otherwise, this is all just a lot of loose talk to get Americans all atwitter about Washington, Trump, his personnel choices, etc.

By the way, do the moonbats realize that anyone who ticks off the Council on Foreign Relations, as Rex Tillerson has, is fine with most of America? Since their interests are not ours, probably not.
